Water Aerobics Classes

Below are descriptions of the classes at the Wiseburn Pool in El Segundo.

Water Aerobics Class

Mondays through Thursdays 7:30 – 8:30am

This 1 hour moderate-intensity exercise class includes warm-up, aerobic, core, and stretching exercises to give you a full workout.   The buoyancy and resistance of the water allow you to move without the same stress on your weight-bearing joints, while making your muscles work harder.  The class is held in the shallow end (approximately 4 feet) end of the pool, so non-swimmers are welcome.

Deep Water Aerobics – on hold

Mondays 8:30 – 9:15am

If you are an above average exerciser, this is the perfect workout for you.  Buoyancy belts are provided for each person, giving you support, while moving freely in the deep water.  Additional water equipment will be used in this 45-minute class which includes: warm-up, aerobic, core, and stretching exercises, to give you a complete workout.  Knowing how to swim is not a prerequisite for participation in this class.

Water Yoga – on hold

Tuesdays 8:30 – 9:15am

Practicing yoga in the water brings us back to the basics.  The buoyancy of water supports you, takes weight off your joints, and may make difficult poses feel more effortless. This low impact class allows you to stretch and strengthen muscles, connect with your body, release pain, and encourages you to go with the flow.  No previous experience with yoga needed.
