Role of the Holistic Nurse

Carol is a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association.  According to the Association, a holistic nurse is a legally licensed nurse who takes a holistic (mind-body-spirit-emotion) approach to the practice of traditional nursing. Holistic nursing is based on a body of knowledge, evidence-based research, sophisticated skill sets, defined standards of practice, and a philosophy of living and being that is grounded in caring, relationship, and interconnectedness.

Holistic nurses regularly employ imagery, visualization, relaxation, deep-breathing techniques, stress management, aromatherapy, and subtle energy therapies for patients in hospitals and private practice.

As an instrument of healing, Carol uses a holistic approach to health and wellness, by applying creative, integrative practices to promote personal well being.
